Ventam Systems design and install a range of fire suppression systems including Amerex, Janus and DSPA.

We offer a range of pre-engineered automatic fire extinguishing systems;

FM-200® is a clean, colourless, and environmentally friendly fire suppression agent that is electrically non-conductive and safe for humans. It extinguishes flames primarily through heat absorption, leaving no residue, thus minimizing downtime after a fire and making FM-200 suppression systems accepted and respected worldwide with over one hundred thousand installations in more than seventy countries. The following datasheets offer more information on the specific FM-200 fire suppression systems available from Janus Fire Systems.
Typical applications: Telecommunication facilities, Computer rooms, Control rooms, Museums, Historical archive storage, Art galleries, Pharmaceutical and medical facilities, Record storage facilities:
We have a series of for FM-200 systems:
PSV, SV, MV and LV suitable for small of very large volume systems.

DSPA Systems

Dry sprinkler Powder Aerosol Extinguishing systems or DSPA are developed to replace the halon-like extinguishing systems that were mainly used in marine applications, IT rooms etc.

How DSPA's work: characteristics and function?
Ignition of the Dry Sprinkler Powder Aerosol extinguishing systems can be done electrically, thermally or by hand. The Dry Sprinkler Powder Aerosol extinguishing system does not affect the ozone layer, lower the oxygen level or augment the pressure in the compartment where it is activated. The process relies upon solids with a high activating energy, brought together in a normal atmosphere.
The systems can be used for fires type A, B, C, and F and are successful in initial and fully developed fires.

CO2 Suppression System

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a colourless, odourless, and chemically inert gas that is both readily available and electrically non-conductive. It extinguishes fire primarily by lowering the level of oxygen that supports combustion in a protected area. This mechanism of fire suppression makes CO2 suppression systems highly effective, requiring minimal clean-up, but should be used in normally unoccupied hazard locations or otherwise avoided by personnel when discharged. CO2 suppression systems may utilize the gas through a total flooding approach but carbon dioxide is also the only gaseous agent that may be utilized through local application. Carbon dioxide may be stored in either high pressure spun steel cylinders (HPCO2 suppression systems) or low pressure light wall refrigerated tanks (LPCO2 suppression systems). The following datasheets offer more information on the specific carbon dioxide fire suppression systems available from Janus Fire Systems.
Typical applications: Flammable liquid storage, Transformers, Rotating electrical equipment, Power generation, Metal processing facilities, Printing industry, Paint mix, Machining facilities.

Foam Suppression System

Fire suppression foam is comprised of three parts: foam concentrate, water, and air. When mixed correctly, these parts form a homogenous foam blanket that extinguishes flames by the combined mechanisms of cooling, separating the flame source from the product surface, suppressing vapours, and smothering. This makes foam suppression systems an effective option for protecting flammable and combustible liquids.

Typical applications: Aircraft hangars, Basements, Cable tunnels, Flammable liquid storage, Tank farms, Loading facilities, Warehouses.

Water Based Suppression System

Water based suppression systems utilize the inexpensive and readily available medium of water to douse flames through a normally fixed pipe system. The system attaches a reliable water supply to an automatically or manually actuated system valve that initiates the flow of water through spray nozzles arranged and designed specifically for each individual protected area.
Typical applications: Warehouses, Industrial equipment, Aircraft hangars, Power plants, Basements, Rolling mills, Exhaust systems.

Vortex™ Suppression System

A Vortex™ system is a hybrid water/inert gas system that combines the best of inert gas and water mist fire suppression systems. Nitrogen and water are simultaneously discharged from a single emitter, atomizing the water to less than 10 µm and forming a dense homogenous suspension of nitrogen and water. This suspension then suppresses fire utilizing two mechanisms simultaneously: cooling and flame extinguishment. A Vortex system uses 88% less water per nozzle per minute than high-pressure water mist systems. The result is a system that is environmentally friendly, safe for humans, achieves full fire suppression with minimal wetting, and does not require room integrity.
Typical applications: Industrial machine spaces, Power generation plants, Turbine enclosures, Steel foundry, Automotive manufacturing, Data rooms, Museums, Libraries, IMO/Marine applications, Flammable liquid storage.

Vehicle Systems

The Amerex Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems are designed to warn the operator and suppress the fire, protecting both equipment and people. Fire suppression agent is delivered to hazard areas by fixed high capacity fast flow machined brass nozzles. This AMGaDS gas detection system for LPG and alternative fuel vehicles can be fitted alongside the fire suppression system or in isolation.

Industrial Systems
The Amerex Industrial fire suppression system is a pre-engineered, wet chemical, stored pressure type with a fixed nozzle agent distribution network. It uses fewer cylinders, nozzles and less pipe which saves on installation and maintenance costs. It incorporates an automatic detection system that will operate in case of fire anytime, 24/7, even if no one is present.

IT & Comms Room Systems
